Watch ‘Kind of Blue: The Acoustic Quintets’ On SFJAZZ At Home

SFJAZZ presents a broadcast of ‘Kind of Blue: The Acoustic Quintets’ this Friday, May 26th at 7:30PM-PT featuring an all-star cast of musicians including pianist Patrice Rushen, bassist Rodney Whitaker, drummer Lenny White, trumpeter Eddie Henderson, saxophonist Donald Harrison, and tenor saxophonist Javon Jackson.

Tonight’s performance at SFJAZZ honoring Miles Davis is SOLD OUT, but you can watch this concert featuring the music of Miles Davis’ first quintet of the 1950s with John Coltrane, the iconic 1959 sextet session Kind of Blue, and the exploratory 1960s second quintet with Wayne Shorter and Herbie Hancock via SFJAZZ At Home’s ‘Fridays Live’ broadcast series.
