Hail To The Chief! Miles Davis has received multiple DownBeat Readers Poll wins, including: 2008 – “Historical Album of the Year” – The Complete On The Corner Sessions (Columbia/Legacy); 2009 – “Historical Album” – Kind of Blue 50th Anniversary Edition (Sony/Legacy) and 2011 – “Historical Album” – Bitches Brew 40th Anniversary Collector’s Edition (Sony/Legacy). Davis is also the recipient of DownBeat’s 2012 “60th Annual Critics Poll” for the Miles Davis Quintet – Live In Europe 1967: The Bootleg Series, Vol. 1 (Columbia/Legacy) Historical Jazz Album.
