Miles Davis ‘Rubberband’ EP To Be Released For Record Store Day

Rubberband, a new EP with previously unreleased Miles Davis music, will be released on Record Store Day, April 21. The recording comes from a project called “Rubberband of Life” featuring Al Jarreau and Chaka Khan which was shelved in 1985. It remained unfinished until the original producers, Randy Hall and Zane Giles, recruited Miles’ nephew Vince Wilburn, Jr. and Grammy-winning singer Ledisi to complete the EP. A whole album release is expected later this year. Read more at JazzFM.

Record Store Day was conceived in 2007 at a gathering of independent record store owners and employees as a way to celebrate and spread the word about the unique culture surrounding nearly 1400 independently owned record stores in the U.S. and thousands of similar stores internationally.
