Miles Davis - 6 Reissues
2005 marked the 50th Anniversary of Miles Davis making Columbia Records his home. Columbia/Legacy/Jazz celebrated this occasion with a stunning array of releases. After Kind Of Blue (now over 10 million in sales worldwide), Miles Davis was again searching for a new group and a new sound. In late 1964, he formed his "second great quintet" with Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hanc***, Ron Carter and Tony Williams. Miles would say later: "I knew right away that this was going to be a motherf***er of a group." These six classic reissues tell the compelling story of that two-year quest to form what many consider to be the greatest small group in the history of jazz. Columbia/Legacy Jazz is proud to present:
Seven Steps To Heaven (CD)
Miles In Berlin (CD)
Miles In Tokyo (CD)
Miles In Europe (CD)
"Four" & More (CD)
The Best Of Seven Steps: The Complete Recordings 1963-1964 (CD)
