I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...well i don't know about you, but for me he was my entrance to especially jazz and in a way also to music in general. I got so fascinated by his music in my teenage years that i travelled back in history to understand him, tracking all guys with whom he had played and discovering a lot of music in that way. He definitively changed my interest in music in general and jazz especially.
