Miles Davis was at the forefront of virtually every major development in jazz from World War II through the 1990s. Following the March 1957 release of 'Round About Midnight,' his debut recording for Columbia Records, Davis went on to create an unbroken string of groundbreaking albums for the label, his musical home for more than 20 years.
