On June 12, 2012, the U.S. Postal Service and France's La Poste issued Miles Davis and Edith Piaf Forever stamps. With sales in excess of 23 million units, it was far and away the top selling USPS celebrity stamp in 2012. Stamps are still available, but once they sell out, there will be no future pressings. Please check your local post office for availability.
Miles Davis Quintet - Live In Europe 1969: The Bootleg Series Vol. 2 has been earning great reviews since its release last week and here are more of them! The 3CD/1DVD collection is in stores now.
Director Mathieu Bitton and Vince Wilburn, Jr. at the "Looking Back On Love" premiere at USC in Los Angeles. The documentary, "Looking Back On Love," follows the journey behind the making of Lenny Kravitz's recently released 9th studio album, Black And White America. The three artists are good friends. Bitton was also the Art Director/Designer of the Miles Davis Bitches Brew: 40th Anniversary Deluxe Edition boxed set as well as Legacy Edition and Bitches Brew Live.
Miles Davis Quintet - Live In Europe 1969: The Bootleg Series Vol. 2 has earned another accolade, this time from Pitchfork, which has given the new 3CD/1DVD box set a rare 9.0 rating and recognition as "Best New Reissue." Here is part of their review:

Vince Wilburn, Jr. catches up with Miles Davis alum, trumpeter Wallace Roney at a packed New York performance at Drom for the Arts Presenters Association conference. The Revivalist editor Meghan Stabile was instrumental in pulling together the event in support of the conference.
