On Tuesday, December 16th, US Lawmakers voted 409-0 to pass a symbolic resolution honoring the masterpiece and reaffirming jazz as a national treasure.

The measure praises the landmark album’s "unique contribution" to jazz and urges the US government to "take all appropriate steps" to preserve and promote jazz.
