Introducing A Unique Line of Miles Davis Wall Art

The archives of Sony's Columbia Records contain some of the greatest photographs of Miles Davis ever captured. Now you can decorate your walls with exciting artwork that puts a distinctly modern spin on these iconic images.

This exclusive new line has been developed expressly for Miles fans by Rock Paper Photo in collaboration with the artist's estate.

Working with beautiful black and white portraits such as Miles recording with his classic quintet in the Columbia studios in the 50s, Rock Paper Photo has added bold design touches to each image to make these unique collectors' items. These include typography inspired by the original album designs, Miles Davis quotes, color tints and reproductions of the artist's signature.

One of the featured quotes is Miles urging fellow musicians, "Don't play what's there. Play what's not there." These words are superimposed over a color-tinted photo of Miles in the recording studio in 1958, smiling and seated next to a page from the score of Porgy and Bess.

For fans of the musician's later electric period, another design features a striking profile photo of Miles in his signature wraparound shades, with the word "Miles" rendered in the style of the album graphics from his groundbreaking 1970 Bitches Brew release.
