In Memory Of Ricky Wellman

The Miles Davis Family sends their deepest condolences to the Ricky Wellman Family, friends and associates. The drummer extraordinaire, who was instrumental in defining the "go go" beat as we know it today, made his transition last Saturday night (11/23). From Chuck Brown & The Soul Searchers - to - The Miles Davis Band. We love you Ricky.

It is truly an honor to have played with you Ricky and even more of an honor to call you my friend. You will truly be missed my brother but never ever forgotten! Thanks for all you did for music especially in the city of Washington, DC!

G dawg I think it was Richard Patterson...
Some of my favorite tracks back then. When after the jam Miles would step up to the mike and just say "Ricky"

I saw this tour in Boston. It was the first and only time seeing Miles! It changed my life! The band just rose off the stage that night!
I've always been wondering who is the Bass player that is in this video?
