Miles Davis Estate Supports The California Fire Foundation

Vince Wilburn, Jr. from the Miles Davis Estate recently attended the California Fire Foundation Gala to show his support for fallen firefighters and those affected by the devastation of fire. This year’s gala honored Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, a jazz fan, who was gifted with Miles Davis box sets and additional Miles items. Sony/Legacy also donated a variety of box sets and special releases to the event’s Silent Auction to help raise funds and awareness in supporting the cause.

The California Fire Foundation’s 2nd Annual Gala celebrates California’s heroic firefighters. The a non-profit (c)(3) organization funds the following critical programs: Commemorating fallen firefighters, offering scholarships to children of fallen firefighters, providing aid to victims of fire or other natural disaster and producing fire safety campaigns to underserved communities. These programs ensure that firefighters and their loved ones are forever cared for, as well as those they shelter from disaster.
